Step 1:
Register an account

Visit app.mitrail.com and click register, a temporary password will be sent to your email (check junk if not found within inbox)
  • Enter in your account details and click the ‘register’ button
  • Login with your email and temporary password, change password to your preference
  • Accept the terms and conditions for the service.


    Step 2:
    Activate the service

    Once your account has been created, you can register your new device by entering your IMEI number (located on the device), activation code (if applicable), and asset name. 
    • Register a new device
    • Choose a subscription
      • You will be redirected to your subscription selection.
      • Press ‘select plan’ after selecting your preferred plan.


      Step 3:
      Install your device

      For best results please have your vehicle parked outside during installation.
      • Locate your vehicle's OBDII port. It is usually located on the driver's side under the dash (example shown below).
      • Plug the device into the OBDII port- the LED indicators will begin to flash.
      • Accept the terms and conditions for the service.

      Step 4:
      Using miTrail

      Go to app.mitrail.com.
      • Login with the username and password you set up in step 1.
      • Read the quick start guide for further details on how to use the service.
      • Providing you followed the instructions in step 3 (device installation) you will see your vehicle's location.
